Databases and Information Retrieval

Towards an intelligent database system founded on the SP theory of computing and cognition

Argues that the SP system may serve as an intelligent database that can integrate diverse kinds of knowledge. At the same time, it can emulate existing models such as relational databases, network and hierarchical databases. The paper also discusses how existing prototypes can be translated into an 'industrial strength' working system.
